10am - 12pm: Selling - It's not the scary word you think it is!


The session will cover 3 keys to increasing sales in your businesses that are simple to learn and implement.  After the session you will feel more comfortable and confident with selling.

You will gain an understanding of your products/services from your customer’s perspective which will enable you to easily and effortlessly change your communication style to suit your customer and build rapport quickly. You will walk away with a sales process that is easy to use and implement in your business. No longer will you rely on hope to make the sale!

Simone Outteridge, Diamond Profit Solutions, draws on her Sales and Marketing experience, working for companies such as Hilton, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson and launched Diamond Profit Solutions to help small business owners achieve their goals.

12.30pm - 2.30pm: Exit Strategy & Selling Your Business

Using the Sellability Score as the base, you will learn how to look at your business with “buyers goggles” on. Topics covered include:  Your overall score

  •   Financial performance
  •   Growth potential
  •   How reliant are you on any one thing?
  •   The valuation see-saw
  •   The hierarchy of recurring revenue
  •   Uniqueness and barrier to entry
  •   Customer satisfaction, and
  •   How independent is the business from you?

Denise Hall of The Entrepreneurial Mother is an ex-Business Owner turned Exit Strategist and Business Finisher to Women Business Owners of the world. She knows how to play the "Finish Unfinished Business" game like no other.

After selling her own 7-figure business in July 2011 for above market value, she understands how to find a way to GET OUT as profitably and painlessly as possible. Denise paints a picture enabling all to see what needs to be done, and how to do it.

3pm - 5pm: Funding

This session will cover 17 effective strategies you can use to fund your business including bootstrapping techniques and getting investors on board - as well as some others you’ve never heard of.

You’ll learn the pros and cons of each, and how and when they work best. You’ll also learn how to work out which strategy (or combination of strategies) is right for your business and come away with a plan to start piecing together your new funding model.

Susan Jones is the founder of Ready Set Start-Up, a website dedicated to helping business owners get their business to launch as quickly and as profitably as possible. She has helped hundreds of people develop profitable business ideas using powerful principles that apply to every business. She holds a Masters in Entrepreneurship and Innovation and was previously a lecturer in Entrepreneurship at Swinburne University before she left to do her own thing.
