Tony’s presentation on tax will be very informative and light-hearted.  In his own words...”this stuff sends people to sleep – but you can wake up with no money!”

Tony will cover some of tax changes that became effective from 1 July 2012 and other changes which will be effective from 1 July 2013.

Tony was a founding partner in the local accounting firm Anderson Vidray, after 22 years he decided to go out on his own and is now the Director and owner of AV Chartered Accountants.  He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Accountants, a Chartered Tax Adviser and Registered Tax Agent. 

Tony has an unhealthy passion for football, in 1995 a knee operation kept him from playing his favourite sport, instead he refereed for 14 years.  He has appeared on the ABC quiz show “The Einstein Factor” with his special topic being ‘FIFA World Cups 1966 – present’.  Tony presents the ‘Left of Centre’ show on 2NURFM on Wednesday evenings, as well as presenting other regular programs.  Tony has been heavily involved with the Rotary Club of Newcastle since 1990.
