Our beloved cello player Anatoli Torjinski and his friends invite you to join the fight against children’s leukemia in the Ukraine. A fabulous line up of some of the most notorious musicians in Sydney - Volatinsky Trio (Lucy Voronov, Stephen Lalor, Anatoli Torjinski), Eddie Bronson Trio (Eddie Bronson, Leonid Beshlei, Anatoli Torjinski), Leo Novikov (violin), Larysa Kovalchuk (bandura-vocal), Jorge Pereira (guitar-vocal), Susana, Elen Rapoport (piano) and a special guest Yaron Hallis.

30 years ago a horrid tragedy shook the lives of Anatoli and Tatiana Torjinski. Their little daughter Katia was diagnosed with leukemia. For almost 4 years they fought for her precious life. Literally with no money, hardly any medicine (back in the Ukraine) and no government support. Katia was only 7 when she lost her battle with cancer. It took Anatoli and Tatiana more than 30 years to share their heartbreaking story. All these years they have kept in touch with the Odessa Children’s Hospital where Katia was treated. They know the unfavourable conditions in which doctors and nurses are trying to work miracles. They know the pain those little kids and their parents have to endure. They have been through it themselves. They also know that together we can make a difference. Please come to pay tribute to little Katia Torjinski and join forces to give hope to seriously ill children. All proceeds including booking fees will be passed on to the Odessa Children’s Hospital.
