An integral member of the Australian independent music scene for over 15 years, benfink has toured, recorded, composed with acts such as Lior, The Whitlams, Christa Hughes, Lily Dior, iOTA, Miriam Lieberman, Waiting for Guinness, The Stiff Gins, Voices from the Vacant Lot and King Clam, co-writing The Whitlams single “Best Work”, Lior’s indie hit “I’ll Forget You” and Lily Dior’s “Love is like a River”. Current projects include alt-indie duo, Close to Forever, with Dale Caldwell, and an exciting old school blues project with Christa Hughes.

In the late noughties benfink launched his first solo album …”continue to breathe normally…” an intricate musical tapestry that traverses elements of soul, folk, groove, blues and jazz, all brought together and unified by his unique and powerful voice.

In concert these songs get a whole new breath of life as the band gets a chance to stretch out and explore their way through the songs.
