We're celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Vespa Motor Scooter with style and sophistication at a beautiful venue located exactly where they arrived in Melbourne. It's also Frank Tonon's 75th birthday, so it will be a big night.

Co presented by Vespa Australia and the Vespa Club of Melbourne, it's not a Ball this year - it's a 'Soiree', so there's no need to reserve tables. The ticket price includes your 1st drink, some of the 800 canapés, desserts and tea & coffee. Full bar service is available to help your moves on the dance floor.

We're hoping to see as many of you there as possible, and it's open to everyone involved in the scooter scene. Come along and celebrate Vespa - dinner, special guests, DJ, dancing, and a beautiful view across the Bay.

S6 on Station Pier

On the water’s edge in Port Melbourne, sitting on the iconic Station Pier, it's a most unique venue. Spirit Station Pier is a circa 1930 building – formally a pier kiosk & waiting room for passengers boarding the paddle steamers in the 1930’s. The venue has been redeveloped to cater for functions. A highlight of the evening will be watching the departure of the Spirit of Tasmania just outside the venue.

History

In September 1946, Piaggio launched the Vespa at the Milan Fair. In post war Italy, the former aircraft manufacturer was searching for a product to renew its business. With 50 orders taken at the Fair, Piaggio went into production, and the rest is history.

Entry to the event is by ticket only. You'll need to present your tickets to Security to gain entry. There won't be sales at the door.

After payment you will instantly receive your tickets and a receipt. Print the tickets and bring them with you.

Tickets are not transferable. S6 reserves its right to refuse entry.

Refund Policy

This is a subsidized event, so we receive and commit your booking in good faith.

Strictly no refunds after 23 August - after this date your money will have been committed and spent.

Upon refund you forfeit the Sticky Tickets card booking fee.

The discount applies only to original members of the Vespa Club of Melbourne. Non members who purchase tickets through the discount line will be automatically refunded, minus the Sticky booking fee
