Sales and Marketing, if your attention is not on these 2 areas in business - then you ARE wasting your 'time"

We as business owners spend our days doing a lot, we have to, that is what it takes in business.  But it is where we spend our time that makes all the difference.  There are a number of key elements that are a must in business and if you are not doing them, you may be wasting your time. 

Literally. if you don’t have your attention on Sales & Marketing in almost every activity you do, then what are you doing.  Today people do not appreciate the big hard sell, and in fact we as a society are finding those companies who so brazenly call you at home with those once in a lifetime offers, are extremely off putting and our reaction to them is wearing thin. 

So in today’s world it takes the following:

Knowing who your client is

Building a great relationship with your client

Finding out what it is they want

Providing that product or service that fulfils their needs

Ensuring that their experience & your service is the same every-time (and you exceed their expectations just that little bit each time)

Being able to say sorry when you need to

Continuously being innovative and a market leader

All of the above is the platform that lies on the foundation of Partnership/Accountability/Integrity & Responsibility.  All of the above is SALES & MARKETING. 

Shelley writes, As a business coach, I prefer business ‘partner’, and someone who spends a lot of my time making my own decisions, trying to figure it all out by myself, and relying on experts around me to assist in growing my business and supporting me.  I know first hand what it takes.  Without creating partnership and great business relationships, business can and will be seen as hard, unachievable, you could feel lonely in pursuit of your dreams, your self esteem will diminish, and suddenly your experience is that business is not all that it is cracked up to be. You can not do business by yourself you must surround yourself with experts, and those who will have you raise the bar on how you already do business. Without this mediocrity is  only possible.  A little harsh you  might say but very true in most cases.

Now in early 2012 – We are all about to write our next chapter of our lives, let’s start with a topic that will have you thinking in a way that will produce great results for you.  SALES & MAREKTING in business are so important!!
