MI-SEX 40 YEARS OF SPACE RACE

In memory of our dear spiritual leader and founding member, Don Martin, Mi-Sex returns to the stage in 2021 to celebrate the 40years of the group’s timeless classic LP, Space Race.

1969 may have been the year that man first set foot on the Moon, but 1980 was the year that Mi-Sex launched Space Race. This makes 2020/21 the 40th Anniversary of the record that features the timeless classic hit singles ‘People’, ‘It Only Hurts When I’m Laughing’, ‘Living In September’ and the LP’s famous title track, ‘Space Race’.

In a killer set and massive live show that includes all the hits from Mi-Sex’ debut LP, Graffiti Crimes, Space Race (1980), Shanghaied! (1981) and Where Do They Go? (1983), Mi-Sex promise to consecrate the soundtrack of a generation – ‘But You Don’t Care’, ‘Computer Games’, ‘People’, ‘Blue Day’ and ‘Castaway’, alongside a few newbies, just for laughs.

JOSHUA JOSHUA will open proceedings with his genre-bending dreamy journey exploring themes of identity, toxic masculinity and sexuality in the 2020's, followed by the lovechild of Tame Impala and Darth Punk, the Blue Mountains very own Safire Palms.

JOSHUA JOSHUA is a solo electronic artist from the misty Blue Mountains, Australia. Fresh off creating an interactive visual album with his band Enerate, JOSHUA JOSHUA found time for introspection and self-exploration and set off writing his debut album 'Rush', which is slated for release later this year. His live set takes the form of an indie-disco pop show that transcends a casual party rave and multi-sensory experience.
