The HBWN is a local not-for-profit organisation whose aim is to bring together professional and business women of the Hunter region. We encourage our members to participate in activities that will raise the profile and improve the status of women in the Hunter Region. The concept was developed in 1995 by a group of enterprising local business women who saw the need to establish an organisation that would provide an avenue for women to “network” and to make friends.
We represent a wide range of industry sectors including finance, law, retail and wholesale, professional services, transport, communication, public relations, health, hospitality, education, manufacturing and government organisations. HBWN holds monthly functions in the relaxed atmosphere of Quality Hotel Noah's on the Beach. We provide an opportunity for women to hear and meet leading business experts, share knowledge, discuss common issues, network within and out of members' immediate business and professional spheres and provide exposure to a diverse range of successful business role models. Invited speakers address the meetings from various walks of life and experience on topics related to current regional or business issues.
