Inserting images and video into your event description

Apart from the 3 images you can display on your event page, you can also insert other images and video into your event description. Assuming that you have already created your event page you will now need to to edit the details as follows: 

  1. From the "My Events" page select your event  Select _your _event
  2. If you event is pending you will be on the event edit page automatically, however if you event is already live you will need to select the "Event Details" tab. Select _event _details
  3. Click on the why section to begin editing Click _why _section _to _edit
  4. Now that you are editing the why section you can either insert an image or a video, which are described in more detail below.

Uploading an image from your computer

  1. Click inside the description box to position the cursor where you would like to insert the image. Then click the image icon on the toolbar. Event _description _click _insert _image
  2. Press the "Browse" button (or Choose File in some browsers) Event _description _click _browse
  3. Select the image from you computer to and the wait for the upload to complete. Event _description _image _inserted

Link to an existing image on a website

  1. Click inside the description box to position the cursor where you would like to insert the image. Then click the image icon on the toolbar. Event _description _click _insert _image
  2. Press the "Link" button Event _description _click _link
  3. Enter the full URL of the image and then click insert Event _description _enter _image _url _click _insert
  4. The image will be displayed in the event description Event _description _linked _image _displayed _in _event _description 

Inserting Video

  1. Click inside the description box to position the cursor where you would like to insert the video. Then click the video icon on the toolbar. Event _description _click _insert _video
  2. In the pop up window paste in your embed video code and then click insertEvent _description _paste _embbed _video _code
  3. Different video hosting websites have different code for embbing video. The instructions below are for youtube. i) Locate the video you wish to embed on youtube, ii) click the share button, iii) click the embed option, iv) copy the embed codeEvent _description _embbed _code _on _youtube
  4. Your video will now be displayed in the description Event _description _video _displayed
