Australian Geographic Gala Awards 2013

Each year the highlight of the Australian Geographic calendar is the annual awards, at which past and present winners congregate in a celebration of conservation efforts and the spirit of adventure.

Join this esteemed company for the prestigious celebration, this year held in the grand Ivy Ballroom in Sydney. As well as special presentations by awardees and our guest speaker, explorer Tim Jarvis, there will be stories of amazing feats of adventure, past and present, and opportunities to mingle with some of today’s most inspiring Australians.

First presented in 1987, the AGS Awards are Australia’s longest-running awards for adventure, and with the addition of the conservation awards in the early 1990s, they celebrate the best of Australian endeavour.

The Australian Geographic Society is a non-profit organisation that supports scientific research, conservation and the spirit of adventure. Join us this October to congratulate ordinary Australians doing extraordinary things.
