The Great Gatsby - Movie Premiere Fundraiser

The Great Gatsby is a romantic drama, an adaptation of F Scott Fitzgerald’s 1925 novel. The film is co-written and directed by Buz Luhrmann, and stars Leonardio di Caprio, Toby Maguire, Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton and Isla Fisher.

Nick Caraway, a Midwesterner now living on Long Island, finds himself fascinated by the mysterious past and lavish lifestyle of his neighbour, Jay Gatsby. He is drawn into Gatsby’s circle, becoming a witness to obsession and tragedy.

Drinks and Canapes will be served at 6.30pm, with The Great Gatbsy to start at 7pm promptly.

All monies raised by the Kiwanis Club will go towards the programme to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus [MNT].  This disease kills one baby every nine minutes – that‘s 60,000 every year.  Twenty nine of the poorest countries around the world still have MNT which can quickly turn the joy of childbirth into tragedy. MNT is highly preventable with immunisation. Together Kiwanis and UNICEF can stop this disease!
