"It makes a massive difference to talk about it” National Mental Health Commission 2012 National Report Card
The Samaritans Crisis Line invites you to an evening of education and networking with others concerned about the rise in serious mental health issues in workplaces across Australia. When: Wednesday July 3, 2013 Time: From 5 pm to 7.30pm Venue: Celtic Club, 48 Ord Street, West Perth Dress: Smart casual/ business attireIn addition to providing you with a warm welcome from The Samaritans, we are delighted that two guest speakers will deliver short presentations. Sergio Del Borrello is Chief Executive Officer of Mates in Construction in WA. Sergio will share with us the tremendous work now being done across building sites in Western Australia to reduce the high levels of suicide occurring within the construction industry. Hear about the spirit of co-operation between unions and employer groups as they make a real and urgent difference to the health and lives of construction sector workers, and their families. Tania Dickinson is doing a Masters in Clinical Psychology at ECU (part-time), and is employed as a counsellor/Provisional Psychologist in private practice. She will give us her insights from research that she has undertaken to assist in the development of well-being and induction programs for FIFO workers. We hope you will join us and bring your friends and colleagues to learn more about these important topics.
