THE TRANSYLVANIACS – 20TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT

This opportunity only comes once in 20yrs!

Join us for an evening of virtuosic strings, cimbalom, vocals, dance and visuals. A cauldron of Hungarian, Romanian and Roma (Gypsy) music that will immerse you in The Transylvaniacs own special atmosphere.

Inspired by the rich, ancient and complicated scales and rhythms of the traditional music of Transylvania, band members have been known to turn up in the breezy wedding tents of remote villages across Romania, Hungary and Slovakia. But more often they can be found in festival tents, bars, backyards and kitchens all over Australia. Music for the sake of playing! For the sake of dancing, singing and celebrating!

This concert is the culmination of many many evenings of music together over the last 20yrs. Music played for ourselves, for our mentors and especially for our audience and friends!
