Craig Johnston (Delsinki Records) is a Melbourne based singer songwriter.

He has been involved in several musical projects over the years. Most notably, he was the founding member of a band called Gretchen Lewis (2002) whose high-octane sound continues to be performed and admired by Melbourne audiences.
His latest and most intimate project, falls under the name Delsinki Records. With key influences such as Tom Waits, Johnny Cash and Simon and Garfunkel, Craig-Delsinki has begun to capture his uniquely deep, raw and earthy sound. His strong lyrics and melodies arrive from a place of truth and sincerity that in turn give the listener permission to relate and interpret the style and musical genre for themselves.

His upcoming debut EP tour starts June 9 2013 all tracks produced by Cameron Mckenzie & will be available on iTunes June 15.

Other note worthy credits – Craig performed at the Sydney Oprah House, The Perth Concert Hall and the Wool Shed (Gnaraloo) in June/July 2012 as a part of the Australian Chamber Orchestra’s The Reef a creative collaboration between Richard Tognetti, Mick Sowry & Jon Frank. This trip was the inspiration for some of Craig’s material which you can read more about on the ‘The Reef’ page.

In 2013 Craig will also be singing along side Brian Ritchie from The Violent Femmes as a part of the 2013 ‘The Reef‘ Australian/Hong Kong tour, which starts February 22nd in Brisbane and finishes up in Sydney at the Opera House on March 4th with dates between in Canberra, Melbourne, New Castle and Woolingong then onto Hong Kong for March 15 & 16.
