ACA Newcastle Branch May Technical Night

Australia has numerous items of infrastructure that are supported by cast iron piers. As many of these assets are becoming old it is imperative to try and determine how they are surviving and what the projected life expectancy of the asset may be at the current time.

This is especially important in assets such as bridges where premature or unpredicted failure would be catastrophic. Callan Herron is the winner of the YCP award for 2013 and has been working in this field for a number of years. Come along and hear him talk about his experiences and the findings of his research.
