Funky dance grooves are back in town as original DIG members, Tim Rollinson, Rick Robertson and Alex Hewetson combine with a great rhythm section and some stunning guest vocalists each week to relive those halycon days of the 80s and 90s when jazz, soul, funk and dub all got together on the dancefloor. The hybrid was sometimes labelled "Acid Jazz" or "Nu Jazz" but whatever the descriptive, the music grabbed the attention of a whole new generation.

For a series of four Thursday nights in July, August and September you can relive some of the great tunes from the DIG songbook along with some brand new compositions. The opening night on Thursday 31 July features guest vocalist Veena Rao, from the Cafe Of The Gates Of Salvation with Michelle Martinez on Thursday 14 August. Veena is renowned for her deep soulful vocals and will perform not only some of the classic DIG songs but some of her own favourite tunes as well.
