FUNK. FAREWELL. FUNDRAISER. FOUNDRY.
What more do we need to say? Well...

Our Director, Michael Deacon, is heading overseas to Valencia, Spain this August for a year to further his Creative talents studying a Masters of Music Business at Berklee Valencia, and we're sending him out with a bang! We need your help to get him there, though, so this farewell gig is doubling as a fundraiser to get him over the line.

We've assembled a mighty fine TRIPLE-BILL of some of the finest funk, blues and soul musicians Sydney has to offer to give you a night at Foundry616 your ears, eyes and hips won't forget.

Cameron Henderson (Cameron Henderson Music) is a guitarist known for his stylistic versatility. In a week he can be seen playing classical guitar recitals, blues pub-gigs, soul/funk gigs, pro musical theatre shows, jazz gigs, gypsy swing gigs, and experimental music performances.

In tonight's format, he's in BLUES mode with his Trio and it's gonna be dirty. You heard it here first -- you're going to need a cold shower afterwards.

JHD REVIVAL BAND (9pm)
Em Benson (Vocals) | Michael Wheatley (Keys) | Shannon Haritos (Bass) | Lozz Benson (Drums) | Edwin Thomas Hughes ( Percussion) | John Hardaker (Guitar) | Abi McCunn (Alto Sax) | Matt Wilson (Tenor Sax) | Shawna O'Neill (Baritone Sax/Flute)
The JHD Revival Band is a blues band in the spirit of '70s bands such as The Grateful Dead & The Allman Brothers, and current jam-bands such as The Derek Trucks Band.

In a word: POWERHOUSE. In more words, well, you'll just have to come and see for yourself...
