Sydney grunge-jazz band the Blind Hot Gems play filth. Sounding at times like Cornelius and at others like QOTSA, there are plenty of big beats and pounding riffs. The trio rip through differing styles from shuffles to dance grooves, even frolicking in the world of electro before reaching some lush experimental plateaus. If the Blind Hot Gems were a video game, they'd be Street Fighter, only played with a Guitar Hero controller instead of a joystick.

What is Jazzgroove?

Jazzgroove is a not for profit organisation presenting high-quality original and improvised music from various jazz related cannons. Our focus is on musicians who are in the early stages of forming a national and international career. Jazzgroove's purpose is to nurture upcoming musicians by allowing a platform and performance opportunity to an established audience through our weekly Tuesday double bill events, marketing/ promotion support while also providing a dialogue and mentorship between past Jazzgroove performers and more experienced musicians.
