Sounds of the Seine
Tonight, come down to Foundry616 for an exciting double header of inspiring French music in Sounds of the Seine:
Avenue Manouche 8.30-9.30pm
The exciting European-style jazz of Avenue Manouche returns to Foundry616.
The quartet will be performing a repertoire of classic French songs, including the much-loved favourites of Josephine Baker, Edith Piaf, Yves Montand, Charles Aznavour, Jacques Brel, Charles Trenet and more. Fronted by singer Fiona Adie with Damian de Boos-Smith on guitar and piano, jazz legend Dave Ellis on double bass and Stu Henderson on drums, their European acoustic sound has flavours of Django Reinhardt coupled with the vocal sound of the female jazz greats. This will be an evening celebrating passion and joie de vivre… not to be missed!

Elodie Sablier 10.00-11.00pm
"In Australia, Elodie Sablier has found a new music - individual, intimate and frequently exquisite" is how French Pianist and Composer Elodie Sablier was recently described by the Sydney Morning Herald.
Having trained at the world-famous Conservatoires of Lyon and Paris, Elodie is blessed with incredible technique and a sublime delicacy of touch. With the influence of several years on the Sydney jazz and alternative music scene, Elodie delivers a touching honesty in her sound that pushes the boundaries of classical music in her own inimitable style.
Elodie will be joined by Damian de Boos on cello for this set.
