Ultra-rhythmic and highly entertaining, this Chicago blues duo creates a very big sound with just a harmonica, a guitar and vocal harmonies reminiscent of Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee.
Mining rag time, acoustic blues, old time country, jug band music and early jazz, Filisko and Noden are expert practitioners of styles that defined the blues in its earliest days, channeling the spirit of masters like Sonny Boy Williamson and Big Bill Broonzy, taking their traditions in vibrant new directions.
With jaw-dropping virtuosity and hilarious story-telling, Filisko and Noden have a synergy born of many years on the road, taking their toe-tapping music across the world.
They return to Australia in January 2018! Unmissable!.
“Two marvellous musicians who have captured not only the sounds but the emotional spirit of some of the richest bloodlines of American music.”
: Kim Field, author of Harmonicas, Harps, and Heavy Breathers
"Joe Filisko and Eric Noden make a thoroughly convincing case that this music is the real deal and their spirited performances make it sound both fresh and contemporary." : Dirty Linen
"Eric and Joe are possessed by the spirits of Howlin' Wolf, Sonny Terry, Robert Johnson, Johnny Woods, Sonny Boy Williamson, Gwen Foster and transported listeners back to the 1920's Delta.."
: Mickey Raphael, harmonica player for Willie Nelson
