Singer and actor Rob E Thomas recently launched his debut album “Who Am I?” to great success at Foundry616. Now fans old and new can join the enigmatic artist in celebrating the momentous occasion of his 70th birthday! 

Featuring a wide selection of songs, ranging from the standard jazz repertoire, Broadway, through to to re-worked pop, the songs on "Who Am I?", "form a mosaic, a pattern of emotion, sentiment, joy, wish fulfillment" and all the other things that make Rob want to sing. 

"I could have chosen a hundred and getting to the final few meant that I had to think long and hard about each one –What made it good? Why did I love it? What’s the story at its heart? Will it ‘speak’ to others the way it does to me?" says Rob.

The mood ranges from a leisurely bossa nova (Michael Franks’ Jardin Botanico), groovy swing (Rainy Days and Mondays), heartfelt ballads (She Was Too Good to Me) through to hard swinging big band (The Way You Look Tonight).

On this album Rob records his second version of Heatwave. His first version, a single, made its way up the charts in 1967. This current version is a boisterous, almost jam session-like big band rendition. Watch it here:
