Italian Six Pack - film and music evening

Come along to support Martenitsa choir to raise funds for their trip to Italy in 2010.  Raffles, prizes, guest choir/band. Donations at the door.

Where: Five Dock RSL, 66 Great North Road, Five Dock.  When:  6.30pm (please be seated with your food before the live music segment which begins at 7.00pm. Film at 7.30pm.

The first film in our series is My Best Enemy.

A romantic comedy with more twists and turns than the Amalfi Coast  Road, My Best Enemy reunites Italy’s king of comedy Carlo Verdone and his co-star of Manual of Love Silvio Muccino.

Achilles, the manager of a hotel chain, accuses one of his employees of stealing and fires her on the spot. She complains to her son, who decides to ruin Achilles' life. Complicating matters Orfeo, the employee’s son, falls in love with his enemy’s daughter, the beautiful Cecelia. Then something happens to bring her father and her new lover together. A big hit in Italy, My Best Enemy was nominated for twelve David Di Donatello Awards (Italian Oscars).
