It’s been six years and countless collaborations since Brian Campeau released an album under his own name, and the breadth of his experiences have sharpened an artist many already consider the most confounding and creative working in Australia.

Campeau’s new solo release is hands down his finest work yet.

Like prior releases Two Faces (2007) and Mostly Winter, Sometimes Spring (2009), Campeau has again bound himself to a set of strict rules to ensure he delivers a record that is both unique and consistent from start to finish.

The results are very human and very moving. Don’t overthink…. neatly resolves any tension between Campeau’s skills as a virtuoso guitarist and vocalist, his prowess with the sampler as a producer, and his mastery of song-craft.
