The Brisbane Improv Festival is excited to be hosting 22 Improvisation Workshops as part of the 2022 Festival with facilitators from all over Australia and New Zealand.

Things Said and Unsaid

We’ve all had our ’that’s what I should have said’ moments. This workshop will lead us down a joyful road of catharsis and comedy as we play with real conversations, overheard, and personally felt. The workshop will focus on premise, game, listening, responding truthfully and ‘eating every sandwich’.

Please note that any Festival shows cast from workshops is at the discretion of the show's director and is not guaranteed. Please go into workshops with a view to learning new improv skills and having fun. Any performance opportunity is a bonus.

About Broni & Mario

Broni and Mario are Swing Set, Melbourne’s longest running, regularly performing, two-prov show. Trained in Melbourne, Chicago, Austin, LA, they bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the classroom and the stage — They’ve coached people through, and been in thousands of scenes. As well as improv Broni is a trained actor, writer, and musician — Mario is a writer, film editor.

The Brisbane Improv Festival will be following all current COVID-19 safety guidelines and will also require all workshop participants to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for the wellbeing of all participants and facilitators - please note this is a extra requirement mandated by the Festival.
