Ben has been playing in bands for the past 25 plus years. From the earlier Huxley Family through Pangaea, Brokenhead, to the long lived Regurgitator, and the short lived The Stalkers... and his various solo initiated but still band orientated projects - Jump 2 Light Speed, Radio5 etc.

Now for the first time ever he has ventured into a genuine wood-grained SOLO album.

Over the last 2 years Ben collected many lyrical ideas in a strange kind of therapy that reflects his discomfort with the current Government, state of the environment, and our place as human beings in this world. Gathering up these sketches he retreated to a studio to the West of Brisbane City called Wild Mountain Sound. Over a time frame of 3 days with the assistance of Jamie Trevaskis, Ben tracked 11 songs straight to 2 inch tape without the use of a computer. No mobile phone could gain reception and a complete focus of attention was achieved. Cut off from the world, Goodbye Machine came to life. We hope you enjoy listening…
