Tenison Woods Education Centre, Lochinvar invite you to an evening about building resilience and improving mental health and wellbeing.

Being Well will feature an address from two high profile local speakers:

Craig Hamilton was born and raised in the Hunter Valley in Singleton and spent 16 years working as an underground coalminer in the Newcastle area, before embarking on a radio career as a broadcaster with ABC Radio covering Rugby League as a commentator. Diagnosed in 2000 with Bipolar Disorder he has become, since his recovery, one of Australia's most high profile speakers on mental health and lifestyle.

Jaelea Skehan is an internationally respected leader in the prevention of mental illness and suicide. In 2014, she was announced as one of the Australian Financial Review and Westpac 100 Women of Influence in Australia. Born and raised in Newcastle, Jaelea has worked at the Hunter Institute of Mental Health since 2001. She is passionate about building the capacity of individuals, families, organisations and communities to be involved in mental health and suicide prevention.

The event will be relevant to individuals and families as well as workplaces and community groups.

Entry is $5.00 per person (incl. booking fee).
Doors open at 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start.
