Johnsong aka John Anthony began his music career with Opera Australia before studying contemporary music at UWS. Having transcended across many genres including classical, jazz, funk, edm and progressive rock, johnsong weaves super eclectic sound tapestries that are very much his own.

Johnsong has built a fan base as diverse as his sound playing across London and Sydney over the last decade. From backyard ‘Sofar Sounds’ shows to music festivals (Subsonic, Sydney Film Festival, Peats Ridge, Surry Hills, Jurassic Lounge) Johnsong thrives in a live setting. His highly energetic and enigmatic performances pendulum between up-tempo dance floor toe tappers and heartbreaking melancholy folk.

Armed with a guitar, loop pedal and drum pad – johnsong’s captivating live performances are not to be missed. ‘Like a Good Son’ was produced by Sydney based guitarist and producer Daniel Walsh. Crafted with meticulous detail johnsong and Daniel spent the good part of a year creating this EP. With guest appearances from Beau Golden (Piano) and Billie McCarthy (vocals), this release brings together a beautiful mix of passion, talent and precision.
