An incredible workshop, history lesson and film screening all rolled into one special event.
Dom Turner of the Backsliders and one of Australia's most respected Blues musicians gives a fascinating look into the songs that are important to him, how to play them and he also asks you to bring along your guitar for a workshop like no other. We will have some amazing vintage records to play showcasing artists like Robert Johnson, Fred McDowell, John Jackson, John Cephas and Phil Wiggins, Joseph Spence and lots more as Dom takes us on a journey with his guitar.
We will have a short break then screen the film 'Ain't No Mouse Music' the story of Arhoolie Records. A lot of the records that will be played at the workshop will be on that very label. An amazing story of one of the most important music labels ever.
You don't have to play guitar to enjoy this workshop, having the chance to hear the records playing with Dom's stories and then topped off with 'Ain't No Mouse Music' makes it a workshop for everyone, if you do play an instrument here is your chance to learn from one of Australia's finest.

Tickets are very limited so don't miss out on this rare event.
