Event Details

Professionals working with young people are invited to attend this FREE professional development event, 'Using Technology to Support Youth Mental Health'.

Guest speakers include:

Dr Michael Carr-Gregg, Australia's leading child and adolescent psychologist

Dr Frances Kay-Lambkin, Centre for Brain and Mental Health Research, University of Newcastle

Key areas discussed during the event include:

  • What does the latest research say about the mental health and wellbeing of young people?
  • How do young people use technology?
  • How can we use technology to support student wellbeing?
  • How can we use technology to help treat the high prevalence disorders?

This event will be relevant for people working in health, mental health, youth work, youth services, schools, universities and TAFE education and others who work with young people.

Doors open at 9:00am for a 9:30am start.
Event will close at 12 noon.

The event will be held in the McIntyre Theatrette, Newcastle Museum.

This event is supported by the Centre for Brain and Mental Health Research, a Priority Research Centre of the University of Newcastle.
