Yep! That's right! For 5 wonderful years, The Newsagency has hosted a plethora of local and independent Australian artists. To celebrate, founder and songwriter, Alison Avron will be hosting a monthly Thursday night showcase of artists she thinks are pretty awesome.

KENT EASTWOOD

Multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer, Kent Eastwood has recently returned from three years living and performing in Frankfurt and is ready to sink his teeth back into the Australian music scene.  

Kent is excited to perform his first return show at The Newsagency , where he spent most of 2013 mixing his latest release, Travelin' Tales - a collection of songs recorded whilst traveling Europe. 

ALISON AVRON

Alison Avron is a singer and songwriter most known for creating and running the very intimate, 40 capacity BYO music venue, The Newsagency, located in Marrickville NSW.

She has recorded 2 EP's, a live album and more recently, travelled to New York to work with multi-platinum award winning producer, Philip Jimenez (Wheatus) on her debut studio album, Tiny Little Universe.
