The Outside Track, a forward-thinking traditional band, was formed in 2006 at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance in Ireland. The Outside Track is now one of Ireland’s leading traditional acts, and their marriage of traditional music, song and dance has been rapturously received around the world. Its five members are united by a love of traditional music and a commitment to creating new music on its foundation. Using fiddle, accordion, harp, guitar, flute, step-dance and vocals these five virtuosos blend boundless energy with unmistakable joie de vivre.

They are committed to promoting Irish culture globally, and are hugely popular young ambassadors for tradition music, song and dance. Their performances and teaching have inspired countless young (and not so young) musicians around the world to take a greater interest in traditional culture. Their intensive annual touring schedule confirms them as one of the most popular, and active traditional groups in Ireland.

Lightning appearances at the National Celtic Festival (2013) and the National Folk Festival (2015) have whetted Australian audiences appetite for this band.
