The Brisbane Improv Festival is excited to be hosting 22 Improvisation Workshops as part of the 2022 Festival with facilitators from all over Australia and New Zealand.

Finding the Fun: Using clown to expand your Improv
Facilitated by Jeromaia Detto

Clown is about being sensitive, curious and playful, using simplicity and vulnerability to connect with audiences! As improvisors we can easily get caught in our heads, not being fully present with the scene that is happening in front of us.

Over the course of this session we will get out of our heads and explore a variety of tools, techniques and concepts that allow us to play freely on stage. Areas covered will include: "the flop", "fixed point", "heavy vs light", "major and minor", "the pleasure to play" and "understanding the dream". This course is open to all levels of experience and is a great way to get out of your head and into your body so that you can get a taste of your inner clown, enabling you to be more open, present and free on stage
