GHANA GROOVES – An intensive Drum & Dance workshop with Odai Affotey and Bortier Okoe from Ghana!
Gift yourself this wonderful experience and come and join us for a day filled with rhythm, community, laughter and culture and FREE yummy Ghanaian food from 4PM.
African Oz Drum ‘n’ Dance has been building a solid little community of rhythm lovers in Perth for the past few years and we love welcoming new friends to our Tribe of people from all walks of life, young and old.
Our venue is child friendly and has a secure playground for those who would like to bring their children on the day ☺
Come and be part of this very special event as rhythmical Masters Odai Affotey and Bortier Okoe come together to share their skills, passion and African pride with the Perth Community.
This one day intensive workshop will suit both beginners and advanced students and is guaranteed to have you laughing while you learn.
Odai and Bortier are world-class entertainers and masters of traditional West African music and dance and together they have been sharing their craft with the world for over two decades. They are both highly respected artists and culture keepers in their own communities and have contributed significantly to keeping their rich musical culture alive by teaching and mentoring younger generations within their home towns. Not only are they super talented musicians they are fun, engaging and most of all love nothing more than sharing their culture with others.
We are so looking forward to sharing this beautiful day with you all.
