Widow’s Walk have just released Blood & Water. This second EP for Widow’s Walk demonstrates an increasingly complex approach to genre and instrumentation, and explores the tensions that exist between loss, fear, birth and spirituality.
Widow’s Walk will team up with, Melbourne based band, Georgia State Line who are en route to Dashville Skyline and Inner West locals, Nick Payne & the Wanted Few to bring you a night of country-tinged, blues-laced, folk-inspired music.
Georgia State Line are an alt-country collective hailing from various parts of small town Australia. Lead singer-songwriter, Georgia Delves cites taking her inspiration from the classics of Linda Ronstandt and current exponents within the Nashville singer-songwriter scene, centring her writing on the bittersweet balancing act between growing up and staying young. Since arriving on the scene not so long ago, the group have enjoyed notable performances alongside Australian country music icon, Bill Chambers at the Tamworth Country Music Festival 2017 and has garnered nods from Paul Gough (ABC Radio National).
Most recently their latest offering, debut EP ‘Heaven Knows’ saw a warm reception for the clan, quickly labelling them as “one of Australia’s best up-and-coming” acts. (Art News Portal)
