Topic: Is your business ready for mandatory electronic lodgement?


Catherine joined the PEXA team in July 2017, with over 12 years of experience in the Legal Profession, many of those as a Licensed Conveyancer working with Firms in Newcastle and surrounds. Catherine brings to the role PEXA end-user experience and understanding around the complexities of integrating PEXA into business practice. Passionate about working with PEXA Members to become competent and confident in using PEXA, Catherine has a keen interest in supporting the Newcastle region to continue their trend as one of the highest transacting regions nationally.


Tony Cahill, Solicitor

Topic: Conveyancing update - new contract, new Sale of Land regulation and farewell Mine Subsidence Compensation Act

Since 1981 Tony has practiced extensively in conveyancing, probate and commercial law. He has been involved in redrafts of the Contract for Sale of Land since 1992, and the Contract for the Sale of Business since 2000. He currently serves on the Law Society’s Property Law and Environmental Planning and Development Committees, and is co-author of Conveyancing Service New South Wales and the Annotated Conveyancing and Real Property Legislation New South Wales.
