Macrame Workshop ~ The Art room Studio

Come and join Amy from @theknot_collective for a morning of macramé. Macramé is the ancient art of knotting. It was hugely popular in the 70’s and has recently made resurgence, predominantly in the form of wall hangings & plant hangers.

In this workshop you’ll learn the basic knots of macramé to create your own wall hanging masterpiece OR pot plant hanger - The designs will be as pictured, this makes it easy to follow a set design, learn a whole lot of different techniques and gives you the chance to finish your piece in the workshop.

What you are provided with:

WALL HANGING

• ·Natural soft 4mm twisted cotton rope
• ·A piece of locally sourced driftwood

POT PLANT HANGER

• Metal ring
• Natural soft 4mm twisted cotton rope

Please choose your ticket carefully, Most of the rope will be pre-cut to lengths for both wall hangings & pot hangers, so you won't be able to change your mind on the day.

About Amy Edwards

Amy is a Sydney basked creative specialising in creative workshops. She has a diploma in Fashion design, but has always had a soft spot for hand crafts and has been knitting since a young age – taught by her Mother & Grandmother.

After getting caught up in the busy Sydney lifestyle she started exploring more crafts as a way to unwind and find some calm at the end of a busy day. Feeling the benefits of these creative outlets she decided to start ‘The Knot Collective”.
