Superlative storyteller and songwriter Joanna Weinberg returns to Camelot with her internationally acclaimed cabaret act about bags , baggage and the fabulousness of women - Pandora’s Bag . This show has been a critical and audience hit and has played everywhere from Camelot to Cape Town. Hilarious subject matter includes Old Bags, Tea Bags Garbage Bags, Laundry Bags , Doctor’s Bags , Green bags, Bag Porn and the ethics ( or lack of ) the international handbag industry. The audience are encouraged to show and tell personal ‘bag stories’ to win a prize. Although the show is inspired by women, men love it too - as men have their own baggage. Joanna Weinberg has just completed a sold out run of ONCE the musical at the Darlinghurst Theatre where she played accordion and the role of Barushka. She won the Sydney Fringe in 2013 with her original musical Lifeforce and won hearts in 2018 with her new musical starring Genevieve Lemon, The Secret Singer. In 2019 Joanna had a new play ‘Minky Opens a Gallery’ on the Sydney Fringe. She was the songwriter and co screenplay writer on Goddess the movie starring Magda Szubanski, Ronan Keating and Laura Michelle Kelly for which she was nominated for a Critics Circle award for best music. Joanna has played at Camelot many times with her autobiographical show ‘The Piano Diaries,’ as well as ’ Baroness Bianka’s Bloodsongs ‘and ‘Pandora’s Bag.’ She is an acclaimed and award winning playwright, songwriter , director , storyteller and actor and is not to be missed under any circumstances.
