Create a Macrame Plant hanger ~ The Art Room

Come and join Amy from @theknot_collective for a morning of macramé. Macramé is the ancient art of knotting. It was hugely popular in the 70’s and has recently made resurgence, predominantly in the form of wall hangings & plant hangers.

In this workshop you will learn the 2 basic knots of Macrame to design and create your own Macrame pot plant hanger. Using only 2 knots, you can create an array of different Macrame designs. Amy will help guide you to plan out and create your own unique piece.

What you are provided with:

• Recycled t-shirt yarn - Enough to make 1 x pot plant hanger
• ·Pot plant hanger metal ring or piece of drift wood

** t-shirt yarn is a soft stretchy yarn that is made from the remnants of left over t-shirt material, it is a sustainable option and easy to work with.

About Amy Edwards

Amy is a Sydney basked creative specialising in creative workshops. She has a diploma in Fashion design, but has always had a soft spot for hand crafts and has been knitting since a young age – taught by her Mother & Grandmother.

After getting caught up in the busy Sydney lifestyle she started exploring more crafts as a way to unwind and find some calm at the end of a busy day. Feeling the benefits of these creative outlets she decided to start ‘The Knot Collective”.
