Back by popular demand... the social distancing restrictions have changed the way we live and engage with our community and are testing our resilience. Listen to Knox resident, Gary Cantwell present a talk on resilience and the importance of living in the now.

Gary was awarded the Knox 2020 Citizen of the Year and has lived in Knox for over 54 years. He attended primary and secondary school in Knox, and did his apprenticeship at a Knox business. He also competed for the local Athletics Club.

After completing tertiary studies, he worked for over 30 years in analytic and management roles in Energy Distribution businesses. Early in his career Gary was involved in a near fatal car accident that left him with Acquired Cerebral Palsy and some physical limitations. He competed as an Athlete with a Disability and was in the Paralympic Squad for the 2000 Olympics.

He retired in 2015 and is now a member of the Ferntree Gully Bowls Club, participates in the State Squad for Bowlers with a Disability and is a member of the Knox Council Bright Ideas Network.
