AIM Dramatic Arts - PLAYING WITH FIRE: Hamlet & As You Like It

PLAYING WITH FIRE is the AIM Dramatic Arts annual Shakespeare double. The 2019 season will showcase adaptations of Shakespeare's HAMLET (directed by David Fenton) and AS YOU LIKE IT (directed by Peta Downes), which will be performed in repertory by the 2019 Second Year Bachelor of Performance students.

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

Home from university to mourn the death of his father, Hamlet is forced to watch as his mother Gertrude marries his uncle Claudius, the newly crowned king. When he learns that his father was poisoned by his uncle, Hamlet vows to take revenge. Feigning madness, he sets a trap in a reckless attempt to catch the conscience of the king and reveal his treachery.
