This month we will be hearing from 3 speakers:
Clayton Barr, Member for Cessnock,
Clayton Barr is a passionate advocate for Workers Compensation particularly the rights of the injured worker. Having recently addressed the WIRO forum in Newcastle he brings his very inspiring message to the June meeting.
iCare
iCare deliver world-class insurance and care services to the businesses, people and communities of NSW.
Whether a person is severely injured in the workplace or on our roads, icare supports their long-term care needs to improve quality of life, including helping people return to work.
iCare also insure more than 296,000 NSW employers and their 3.7 million employees. With more than $33 billion in assets, we are one of the largest insurance providers in Australia.
They are made up of six schemes that are committed to delivering better cover, treatment and care to the people of NSW.
They are passionate about changing people's lives by being there for them when they are needed the most. Their aspiration is to create the best possible outcome for every person and organisation we serve, delivered through a fair, respectful and empathetic experience that is focused on the person not the process.
iCare is changing workers insurance to make it simpler, more transparent and fairer for employers and injured workers.
At the June meeting you are invited to hear from iCare's experts, meet with key contacts, find out what’s changed and what's planned for 2018.
Discussion will be held on the latest on:
Your new claims provider - EML

Youth Express
Youth Express will be speaking about their KauKan JobTrack Program. The KauKan JobTrack program is a VTEC project funded under the Australian Government’s Indigenous Advancement Strategy which aims to deliver sustainable Indigenous employment outcomes. Youth Express is the VTEC provider for the Maitland, Coalfields, Port Stephens and Great Lakes areas. KauKan is a Wonaruah word meaning ‘one who is able’ and we work to ensure committed job seekers and employers have the ability and support they need to sustain meaningful employment for Indigenous people.
