The annual 18km Walk of Hope from Menai to Cronulla is a community fundraising event started in 2008 by teachers in the Sutherland Shire in response to the needs of schools in Rwanda, a small African nation decimated by genocide in 1994. Over the past 4 years HOPE: Global now sends teachers, nurses and other professionals into Rwanda, Cambodia, Uganda and Kenya to alleviate poverty through practical assistance and training. It is local Aussies making a difference at a global level.

YOU can even do the Walk on your treadmill, at the beach, if getting to Southern Sydney is a tad difficult!! Simply register and commit to walk 18km over the week between March 31 and April 6!!

The Walk of Hope is designed to increase awareness and raise funds for the work of our teachers.

Join us as we walk 18 km for education!
