These school holidays, the Tumanako Maori Cultural Group will lead an exciting and dynamic workshop in association with the New Zealand High Commission as part of this years Warm Trees installation. Workshops will include singing, storytelling, instruction on how to use pois along with demonstrations of some artifacts. Stories about Matariki, the Maori New Year, will be shared near the stunning Matariki exhibition in the Village Centre. Dancing is an expression of cultural identity and the group will perform the traditional 'kapa haka', This is a family workshop not to be missed! Warm Trees is brought to you by Friends of the Arboretum.

Please book early as places are limited. Children may not be left unattended.
