This is a day to come together to remember our babies & find support with other bereaved parents. The event will include a memorial service, where you will be invited to come & say your baby’s name, a butterfly release & a symbolic walk to ‘take the steps our babies could not’, generally a 10-15 minute short walk.

We invite families to remain afterwards and share some time together - pack a picnic lunch & enjoy the beautiful gardens with the butterflies.

The Mackay event will include:

• ·Candle lighting and 'Say Their Name' Ceremony
• ·Butterflies to colour and display in memory of your baby
• ·Sausage sizzle fundraiser after the walk (cash only)
• ·Butterfly release
• ·Musician 
• ·Memory table – parents are invited to bring along a memento/photo to put on the table.

Please bring a hat/sunscreen and water bottle for the walk. Bring your picnic blanket to enjoy the lovely surroundings after the walk.

The walk is pram and wheelchair friendly. 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Butterflies numbers are ultimately limited and will be allocated on a first reserved, first supplied basis. Please choose the butterfly reservation ticket below BEFORE September 1st 2018. Once our supplier has confirmed ability to supply, those who have reserved a butterfly will be notified by email 2 weeks prior to the event for prompt payment of $20/butterfly, to paid online via this event page. If payment is not made within stated time frame reserved butterflies will be offered to the next person in line. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
