The Standard Mental Health First Aid course is a 2 day course that provides participants with a Mental Health First Aider accreditation that is valid for 3 years. It equips participants with the skills and knowledge to assist someone experiencing a mental health crisis or a developing mental health issue.

The course is extremely valuable and useful for the community and for the workplace. With 1 in 5 of us experiencing a mental health issue at some point of our lives, we are all impacted upon by our own or others’ mental health. Mental Health First Aid Australia became a national not for profit charity in 2012 and has the motto “Everyone, Everywhere”. Since 2001, over half a million Australians have participated in Mental Health First Aid training with over 4000 courses run each year.

Peta became an accredited Mental Health First Aid instructor as she firmly believes that the course is the most practical and useful available for all members of the community and workplaces. It has a strong evidence base and its content, mode of delivery and structure has been replicated worldwide via Mental Health First Aid International.
