The Standard Mental Health First Aid course is a 2 day course that provides participants with a Mental Health First Aider accreditation that is valid for 3 years. It equips participants with the skills and knowledge to assist someone experiencing a mental health crisis or a developing mental health issue.

The course is extremely valuable and useful for the community and for the workplace. With 1 in 5 of us experiencing a mental health issue at some point of our lives, we are all impacted upon by our own or others’ mental health. Mental Health First Aid Australia became a national not for profit charity in 2012 and has the motto “Everyone, Everywhere”. Since 2001, over half a million Australians have participated in Mental Health First Aid training with over 4000 courses run each year.

It has a strong evidence base and its content, mode of delivery and structure has been replicated worldwide via Mental Health First Aid International.
