Do you want to make the most of Newcastle’s beautiful beaches during your time here? Are you a competent swimmer and interested in learning to surf?

Bring your towel and cossie (bathing suit) and join our Surfs Up activity to learn about important surf survival skills and beach safety tips from the experts at Newcastle Surf School. Discover how to negotiate surf conditions, identify rips, practice surf board paddling techniques, stand up and hopefully catch the perfect wave! Following the beach activities, a tasty lunch pack and refreshments will be provided for a picnic by the beach.

Your ticket price includes all equipment, professional surf instruction, a catered lunch pack and coach transfers from  Callaghan Campus and is proudly sponsored by Allianz Global Assistance OSHC. 

Bus Transfers: A free bus transfer is available from Callaghan Campus departing Design Bus stop at 9.30am.

If you are making your own way to Nobby's Beach Kiosk, please arrive no later than 15 mins prior to your session start time.

Tickets are limited to 15 students per session, so get in quick to secure your ticket!

Please note: This session is designed for participants who are competent swimmers, and must be able to swim min 50 meters in the water without the aid of flotation devices.

Ticket cancellations within 48hrs of the event will not be refundable
