Details

During this workshop children will be introduced to the wonderful world of bees inside and outside the hive. Children will have fun identifying a queen bee, her workers and drones through observation hives. They will learn what each bee is responsible for, why bees dance for each other and how honey is made. We will also talk about what beekeepers do and why bees are so important to our natural world and food chain.

Recommended for ages 8 yrs to 15 yrs. Please meet in the Terrace room.

All teaching materials and a take home information book are included.

Younger children must be accompanied by an adult.
