We know what you're thinking, "open mic nights are shit".

But not here at The Newsagency.

Our monthly Open Mic nights are emceed by our very own tech witch/venue manager, Monique. Our overlord/owner, Ali, will most certainly be heckled into performing by the bar staff.

A great way to test out new material, gain support and advice from fellow local musicians, impress the venue you may want to book and have a damn good time.

Strictly featuring the incredible, the talented... and the sometimes intoxicated.

No dickheads.

Grab your attendance (this applies to BOTH performers and audience members) online to ensure you aren't turned away at the door if we reach full capacity.

Doors at 6:30pm, tunes at 7.

6:30 - 7:30 Happy hour with $5 tinnies!

Open to anyone 18+ with a passion to share, an ear to listen and a hand free for a tinny.

INFORMATION FOR PERFORMERS ON BOOKING YOUR SLOT:

When you register for your general admission ticket you may also select 'tickets' for your performance slot. 

These tickets are worth one slot (worth 5 minutes for tuning/talking/arting) and you may select a maximum of 3. 
If you do not register for both general admission AND your performance slots you will miss out.

There will be NO requests for time slots and performance order will be drawn on the night as we are fostering a community of support. If you want people to watch you, it is expected that you also watch them.
