This panel is here to help you out!

Join a philosopher, a career coach, a theologian and a 104-year old dancer as they muse on this question. They will discuss role models, the search for meaning, psychoanalysis, art, adventure and much more.

This panel will be moderated by Clear Spot Club's Jackie Dent.

The speakers:

Eileen Kramer is a 104-year old dancer and choreographer. An original member of Bodenwieser Ballet, Australia’s first modern company, she has danced in India, Paris, London, New York and many other places. She recently published a book Eileen: Stories from the Philip Street Courtyard. She will perform a short set from her latest work.

Dr Talia Morag is a philosopher and postdoctoral research fellow at Deakin University. She is the director of Psyche + Society, an organisation which brings discussions about social psychology to the wider public. Her book Emotion, Imagination and the Limits of Reason was published by Routledge in 2016.

Terry Samaras is an accomplished executive coach and organisational change consultant. He has more than 20 years of global experience, having advised corporates, creatives, airline staff, philanthropists and many others on their careers. A qualified sociologist, he has worked with Oscar and Grammy Award Winning Artists.

Martin Samson is a theologian. He is currently a PhD student, consultant in organisational learning and a celebrant. For more than 20 years, he was a priest with the Christian community—a denomination inspired by Rudolf Steiner—and has a Masters in Theological Studies. He has spent many years studying cross-cultural religion, philosophy, mythology, and cosmology and is the author of Festivals in the Southern Hemisphere.
