Fermentation Masterclass at Western Plains Cultural Centre, Dubbo NSW.

Join fermentation revivalist Sammi Zajko, and owner of Fermenting Australia as she brings her Fermenting Masterclass to Dubbo, by popular demand. Get cultured at the cultural centre!

Join Sammi for an inspiring evening of fermentation demonstrations at the beautiful local venue, WPCC.

Learn and become inspired in a fabulous, comfortable setting. You will graze on a delicious ploughmans platter of cheeses, ferments, drinks, dips and more.

Sammi will share her wisdom of a culmination of over a decade of fermenting , a background in nutrition and natural health, and six years of facilitating fermentation workshops around NSW, ACT, VIC and QLD.

Learn the history, culture and science behind fermentation. Learn the incredible health benefits of this traditional craft.

Sammi will talk through and demonstrate:

-labne and whey

-saurkraut (with variations)

-kimchi

-lacto-fermented pickles and variations

-kombucha

-milk kefir

-vinegar....and more!

Bring your fermenting questions, learn everything that you need to know to feel confident to create fermented foods for health and flavor at home.

This workshop would suit anyone from a beginner to confident fermenter with lots of inspiration and ideas. 


Workshop also includes:

-a ploughmans platter to share with the group

-tastes and samples of fermented foods and kombucha

-a kombucha SCOBY (valued at $25.)

-class notes and recipes provided by email

Please note, that although this is an interactive workshop, it is not hands-on.

Sammi is a wild and daring Fermentation Revivalist. She is also a workshop facilitator, presenter, nutritional researcher, foodie, wild weed forager and owner at Fermenting Australia. She is based on the beautiful Central Coast NSW and runs Fermenting Workshops all over Regional NSW, as well as Sydney and Melbourne.

Sammi has run workshops in NSW since 2013 and has guest presented at a number of high-profile events and expos. She toured QLD with sell-out workshops in 2014 and 2017 and 2018.

Sammi is excited to bring her sense of fun and unique, accessible style of fermenting to Dubbo.

Sammi is mum to her amazing nine year old, Jem who is a potent reminder of the importance of high quality, nutrient dense and fermented foods in the family diet. Jem’s favourite fermented food is lacto-fermented pickles and he describes himself as a “cheeky fermenter!” He is also her continued inspiration for living sustainably and treading softly on the Earth. She believes that we have borrowed this Earth from our children and her life and business reflects that philosophy.
